ISLAMABAD: Restrictions, imposed on former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, have been tightened further after his telephonic conversation with lawyers as his daughter was not allowed to take her O level exam.
As per details police has arrested personal guard of the former Chief Justice while the authorities also disconnected all the telephone lines and jammed his mobile phones. Police also stopped her daughter Ifra Iftikhar on Wednesday when she was going to British Council to take her O level paper. The British Council however, arranged for Miss Iftikhar to take the exam at her house after getting clearance from the authorities.
A lawyer and close friend of former Chief Justice told SANA that Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry’s morale is high despite all these curtailments on him and his family. He said that Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has given a message that country’s security and solidarity is more important than an individual and has pledged to continue his struggle based on principles and justice.
