ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner Qazi Muhammad Farooq briefed the US Ambassador to Pakistan, Anne W. Patterson about the preparations for general elections. On this occasion, both sides discussed matters regarding the conduct of general elections in the country.

The Chief Election Commissioner told the US ambassador that elections would be held in accordance with the law and constitution. The Election Commission has made all the arrangements in this regard. Later talking to media, the US ambassador said her country would extend every possible cooperation for timely holding of elections in Pakistan.
