Unauthorized persons prohibited to enter ECS

ISLAMABAD: Unauthorized persons would not be allowed to enter into the Election Commission Secretariat today (Thursday), the day of filing of nomination papers for presidential elections. According to press release issued Federal Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Kanwar Muhammad Dilshad said that under Rule 4 of the Presidential Election Rules, 1988 only the authorized persons, namely, the candidates for the office of the President of Pakistan, their proposers and seconders and/or their authorized agents shall be allowed to enter the Election Commission Secretariat for filing nomination papers. He said that from the security point of view, mobile phones, cameras, ladies’ bags, laser key chains, calculators and batteries would not be allowed inside the Election Commission Secretariat.-SANA

The DAWN Group of Newspapers, published by the Pakistan Herald Publications (Pvt.) Limited (PHPL) was founded by the Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the father of the nation.
