Thousands attend JKLF’s torch-bearing procession in Bandipore
SRINAGAR: Thousands of people participated in the torch-bearing procession led by JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik in north Kashmir’s Bandipore township, a JKLF spokesman said in a statement. According to the JKLF spokesman, men, women and children raising pro-freedom slogans marched through the streets of Bandipore, where JKLF activists are carrying forward the Safar-e-Azadi (journey for freedom) that started in month of May from Kokernag in south Kashmir.
“By participating in Safar-e-Azadi people of Kashmir have given a strong message to India and Pakistan that Kashmiris cannot be ignored and no readymade solution would be acceptable to them,” the JKLF spokesman quoted Malik as saying while addressing a gathering. He said that the JKLF activists on reaching Nadihal were accorded a warm welcome. “We salute your resolve and your determination. The sacrifices rendered by the people of Kashmir for the sake of freedom won’t go in a vain,” Malik said.-SANA
