The United States Ambassador to Pakistan Ms. Anne. W. Patterson said has assured the support of United States of America to President Pervez Musharraf’s and praised his strenuous efforts against the war on terror.

She stated this in a meeting with Defense Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal here on Wednesday. Referring to President Bush’s recent statement she said the United States recognizes the role being played by Pakistan in the war against terrorism. She added that President Bush has clearly spoken about the US support for Pakistan.

The Ambassador also conveyed the condolences on behalf of her government to Pakistan over the loss of lives of several security forces men and innocent people in the recent wave of terrorist attacks. The Defense Minister briefed the US envoy about the counter terrorism measures taken by Pakistan.

Terrorists being trained at nine locations in North Waziristan: US
United States has alleged that terrorists are trained at nine locations in the different parts of North Waziristan tribal regions. Sources revealed that Pakistan and United States would act in silence against terrorists in these areas which US authorities have pinpointed as breeding places for terrorists and termed those as terrorism training camps. US claims along with Pakistani authorities an anti-terrorism drive has been started.

United States has warned of dire consequences if terrorists attacked the country, the sources added. The action against Abdullah Mahsud in Zhob was also part of the silent operation continued under the US pressure, sources said.

Unites States of America has very fluctuating statements regarding the efforts of Pakistan in war against terrorism. Despite the fact that Pakistan has targeted many militants in Waziristan, Wana and recently lal Mosque has been brought under military operation. In retaliation localized Taliban have attacked various parts of Baluchistan leaving several hundreds security forces and innocent people dead. Islamic Ummah has antagonistic sentiments for Pakistan for becoming alley of US in war against terrorism. Pakistan is isolated as whole Muslim Community is against Pakistan for becoming partner in war against Afghanistan and Iraq. Moreover Pakistani military forces are fighting against their own Pakistani brothers and within their own country.

Pakistanis are fighting the war of others, and just to legitimize the rule and power Pakistani political leaders have become partners in war against terrorism, and country’s peace is destroyed under pretext of world peace.
